Welcome to the Lovelace State Coverage Insurance (SCI) Program

The SCI program is designed to help insure residents of New Mexico between the ages of 19-64 years of age who are U.S. citizens.  In order to qualify, individuals must fall within 0%-200% of the federal poverty level, and have not voluntarily dropped health insurance coverage in the previous six (6) months.  The State of New Mexico Income Support Division determines eligibility for the SCI program.

SCI members pay low monthly premiums depending on their income level.  Some services require co-payments.  These co-payments are also based on income level.

The SCI benefit package includes primary and specialty care, inpatient and outpatient services, pharmacy, lab, X-ray, physical/occupational/speech therapy, mental health and substance abuse services (also known as behavioral health services).  Benefits are limited to $100,000 per benefit year and a combination of 25 inpatient, physical rehabilitation and home health days.

The Lovelace SCI program is offered to qualified individuals or employer groups with less than 50 employees.

If you would like more information on the Lovelace SCI program, or would like to start the eligibility and enrollment process, please call the Lovelace SCI program at 505-816-6670 in Albuquerque, or 1-888-665-5401 statewide.  Speech and hearing impaired persons may call Relay New Mexico TTY at 1-800-659-8331.
