
Before joining Lovelace Health Plan, Ben was formerly engaged as a strategic consultant to several large provider systems and private equity firms regarding alignment and acquisitions that support Health Care Reform.
Prior to this, Ben served as CEO of UnitedHealthcare of Northern California, a company that organizes access to health care for more than 25 million consumers and contracts with more than 600,000 health care providers and 5,000 hospitals.
Ben, brings more than 30 years of health care experience to his position, 17 of which have been at a senior executive level. He has served as Senior Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Development for Concentra in Naperville, Ill.; Senior VP of Technology Solutions and VP of Marketing for Bell Canada Enterprises in Rockville, Md.; and Senior VP of Corporate Management, VP of National Account Sales and a senior marketing executive for First Health in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Ben received his marketing degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and his certification as a Health Consultant from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind. He has served on the board of directors for the Association of Preferred Provider Organizations, Contra Costa Council, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of New Jersey.
