The Lovelace Senior Plan (LSP)

is a Medicare Advantage HMO plan that gives you complete healthcare coverage in place of your Medicare coverage. You pay no deductibles and only low copayments for medical services and prescription drugs. LSP offers two plans with different levels of prescription drug coverage, and starting in 2008, one medical only plan without prescription coverage for those who may have pharmacy coverage through another source. In addition you’ll receive worldwide emergency and urgent care benefits. LSP is offered in the following New Mexico counties: Bernalillo, Sandoval, Valencia, Torrance and Santa Fe.

Premier Choice

is a Medicare Advantage Preferred Provider Organization (PPO). Premier Choice is a Medicare replacement product that gives you the flexibility to use in-network or out-of-network services. In-network services are generally provided to you at lower out-of-pocket costs to you. For the flexibility and convenience of using any Medicare provider with your out-of-network benefit, you may pay higher out-of-pocket costs. Premier Choice plans also provide prescription drug coverage better than the Medicare Part D drug benefit. Premier Choice is offered in the following New Mexico counties: Bernalillo, Catron, Cibola, Colfax, Dona Ana, Grant, Hidalgo, Los Alamos, Luna, McKinley, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Juan, San Miguel, Sandoval, Santa Fe, Sierra, Socorro, Taos, Torrance and Valencia.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) require Health Plans and pharmacies accept the “best available evidence” (BAE) from beneficiaries if they receive a “low income subsidy” (LIS) assistance to help pay for prescription drugs.
