Health Savings Accounts (HSA) are for members enrolled in High Deductible Health Plans. Money deposited into these accounts can be used to pay for qualified medical expenses without incurring federal tax liability or penalty. Flexible Savings Accounts (FSA) allow members to set aside money on a pre-tax basis to be used for certain medical expenses such as co-pays for doctor visits or medications. A FSA can help members save taxes on these kinds of purchases. Members can decide how much money to set aside in a flexible savings account based on previous and anticipated expenses. Lovelace Health Plan has two formulary drug lists for employee health plans. Formulary brands are considered preferred brands under the prescription drug benefit. Brands not listed in the formulary are considered non-preferred brands and are not covered by your health plan. Both formularies apply only to members who have a Lovelace Health Plan pharmacy benefit. Click here for more information.
